ABS Challenge – April 2013

It’s been a few months since I’ve participated in an Art Bead Scene Challenge, but I was inspired by this months art — Claude Monet’s ‘Walk in the Meadows at Argenteuil’. I was particularly drawn to the vibrant chartreuse green and orange coloured flowers in the meadow which are a strong contrast to the cloudy blue skies.

My necklace design features a floral ceramic pendant and beads by Natalie Fletcher (Peruzi). The beads have colour bursts of blue and immediately reminded me of Monet’s impressionist style of painting.   My multi-strand knotted necklace also includes burnt orange and persimmon spacer beads, copper rounds, Miyuki cubes in khaki iris and chartreuse, Miyuki Size 8 seed beads in orange, Vintaj brass bead caps and hook clasp.

  1. This is gorgeous – I love the colours and the knotting. Looks like a perfect spring/summer necklace.
